New Look for the New Year Contest

A new look for the new year...

We are searching for any of your friends or family that you think need and deserve a new look. We will color and cut their hair, wax their brows, do their make-up, then finish up with a buff, shine, and polish on their nails. This is a great opportunity to give someone a fresh start for 2010. We will choose five winners from all the nominations we receive. Each winner will be able to consult with our artists to come up with a look they will love. We will open up the salon special for this event for you and the person you nominated the afternoon of Sunday, January 31, 2010 . Our entire staff will be in the salon doing the services. We will take before and after photos of each winner. It will be a special day that will make them feel pampered and refreshed.

The rules:
1. Nominations must be new to the salon.
2. Tell us briefly why they should be the one to receive the make-over.
3. Let us know where they are from.
4. We need a current photo of what they look like now.
5. Men or Women are elligible.
6. We need your contact info. and the nominees contact info. (Phone # or Email)

Deadline for entries is Saturday, January 9, 2010. If you are one of the five people selected we will contact you and your nominee by Saturday, January 16, 2010.

We are working hard to use a little less paper and communicate with you by email instead. It is so much quicker and effective when we want to get info. to you. It will probably only happen a couple times throughout the year, but since those times are usually a discount of sorts you may want to send us your email address and get on our list. A Couple New Faces at the Salon

Sadly Kristina, Kate and Tiffany have moved on and are no longer at the salon. But thankfully we have welcomed some great new faces and talent to the salon family. Cameron is doing haircuts and has been here for a few months now and we are loving her being a part of things! Erin is also doing haircuts and just joined us November 1st. Jen also joined us November 1st and is doing color. All of them are great and have meshed in to our salon without a hitch.

Change is always an adjustment, but it is also exciting and we are so happy with the direction it is going! I think you will feel the same.

The Holidays!

It doesn't seem possible, but the the holiday season is fast approaching. Start thinking about planning your salon and spa appointments ahead of time to ensure you get the time and day you want. Don't forget we make appointments on Mondays as well from 10am - 3pm.

New Massage Therapist

The time has come to try and replace Joanne with another licensed massage therapist. (LMP) If you know of anyone interested in working at the Cristy Carner Salon and Spa doing massage and body treatments have them give Cristy a call. 206-548-8224. It could be full or part-time.
